How Much Does Furniture 3D Rendering Cost? Price Ranges for 2026

Two 3D renders: a red mobile pedestal on a white background and lounge chairs in a library interior

A furniture render costs from about €400 for a simple product on a white background, €600–1,000 for a more complex white-background image, and €1,000–2,000 for furniture placed in a full interior scene. Extra colour or material variants cost around 20 to 30 percent of the original image. Below is what moves a price up or down, so you can estimate a budget before you ask for a quote.

I run a small 3D visualization studio and have been quoting furniture projects for 12 years. These are my own ranges, not an industry average.

Price ranges at a glance

What you needTypical price per image
Simple product on a white backgroundfrom about €400
Complex product, or several products on white€600–1,000
Furniture in an interior scene€1,000–2,000

All prices are per finished image. They assume you send CAD files or a 3D model, and they include the revision rounds described below.

What decides the price

Three things matter most, in this order.

1. Number of images. More images mean more cameras, more lighting setups and more post-production, but they also let me reuse the same model and scene. That is why a set is cheaper per image than a single shot, and why variants cost a fraction of the first image.

2. Complexity of the product. A simple chair with one material is quick to prepare. A sofa with piping, quilting, a complex weave or a lot of small parts needs far more modelling and material work before the first test render. Fabrics are usually the biggest factor.

3. Number of pieces in the scene. One armchair in a room is a different job from a whole open-plan office with dozens of desks and chairs. Every extra piece has to be placed, textured and lit.

Other factors, such as the quality of your CAD data and how fast you answer during feedback, mostly affect the schedule rather than the price.

What is included

Every project includes revision rounds. For a simple white-background project that means two rounds. For interior scenes and more complex projects I usually plan three. Changes to the model or the scene are handled inside those rounds. If a project needs more, an extra round is quoted separately, because the cost depends on what has to change.

You receive the images in the format and resolution you need, for example a web version and a full-resolution version for catalogue or print. White-background products can also come with a transparent background (PNG), so you can place them in your own layouts. A layered PSD file is available on request.

Volume discounts

If you order a set of images, the price per image goes down. For larger batches I usually offer a discount; from about five images it is typically around 10 percent. The exact figure depends on the project.

Two examples

These are illustrations, not quotes.

A small e-commerce set. Five simple white-background images of one product from different angles start at around €2,000. With a volume discount, closer to €1,800.

A launch for a new collection. One interior scene at €1,500 as the main image, plus four colour variants at 20 to 30 percent each, comes to roughly €2,100–2,700 for five images. Photographing five finishes would mean shipping five pieces and repeating the shoot.

How this compares with other options

Prices vary a lot depending on who you hire. Public price guides put freelancers at about $75 to $250 per image and mid-range studios at $400 to $2,000 per image (according to one 2026 industry guide from a rendering vendor, so treat the numbers as a rough reference). Lower prices usually mean less experience, fewer revision rounds or a model that isn't built to the quality a manufacturer needs for catalogue or campaign use. I work in the range where you get consistent quality, clear communication and a fixed process.

FAQ

How much does a 3D furniture render cost?

From about €400 for a simple white-background image, €600–1,000 for a complex one, and €1,000–2,000 for an interior scene.

How much does an extra colour variant cost?

Around 20 to 30 percent of the original render, often within the same timeline.

What increases the price the most?

The number of images, the complexity of the product (especially fabrics and small details) and the number of pieces in the scene.

How many revision rounds are included?

Two for simple white-background projects, usually three for interior scenes and more complex work.

Do you offer discounts for larger orders?

Yes. From about five images the discount is typically around 10 percent.

How is animation priced?

Individually, because it depends on the length, the number of shots and the complexity of the scene.

How long does it take?

A simple white-background project takes two to three weeks, depending on how quickly feedback comes in.
